Someone's shortcut that went very wrong. Taken on the road to Bab al Shams.
I had one of these trikes when I was a kid. Darn, I want it back as some mornings this is the quickest way around the Burj Dubai area! The rider is one of the Emaar Square rubbish men. There's also a man who's full time job is to sweep dust off the speed humps.

Dubai's infrastructure is struggling to deal with the rapidly increasing population. The trucks in this queue, which stretches for kilometres, are all carrying raw sewerage and waiting to unload at the treatment plant behind International City.
The queue of sewerage trucks and in typical Dubai style up ahead you can see some trucks that are trying to queue jump. A sewerage truck queue jumping?? I'd let 'em in............

There's no excuse for this is there? Its bad even for a Skyline. And it sure looked like housepaint close up (as close as I could get without hurting my eyes)! I wonder if he did the paint job with his Mum's vacuum cleaner?
The shiny side of Dubai.
Maybe this sign would be more use in Oxford Street.....
The sun sets on another day in Dubai.
Mother and baby camel on the Al Ain-Dubai road.
Sheikh Hamdan's new Ultimate Aero. The car's been described as "3 feet wide at the front and 27 feet wide at the back"
